What is FXtoGO?
With FXtoGO Continental Currency Exchange is making foreign currency exchange faster, easier and more affordable. You'll be able to order from a selection of over 40 currencies and have them delivered straight to your door with no hidden fees at our best exchange rates guaranteed.
Why would I use FXtoGO?
FXtoGO is a fast, safe and convenient portal for individuals who may not live close to a Continental Currency Exchange branch or simply wish to save time and money and order online.
Where is FXtoGO available?
FXtoGO is only available to Canadian residents who can provide a valid physical Canadian address, excluding Quebec.
I’ve never bought or sold currency through Continental, can I still use FXtoGO?
Of course! We always welcome new clients.
Do I need to register to order currency?
No. There are no registration requirements to place an order.
What should I do if I am having trouble placing my order?

Placing an order and paying


How do I place an order?
Ordering your currency online through FXtoGO is fast and simple.
  • Begin by clicking “Add to Cart”
  • Beside “Product” use the drop down menu to select “Foreign Cash”
  • Use the drop down menu and select the currency you would like to purchase
  • Enter either the foreign amount or Canadian dollar amount you require
  • Click “Get Rate”
  • Request the bill denominations that you would like
  • Press “Add to Cart” on the Shopping Cart page
  • Repeat the previous steps to add up to $2500 CAD worth of foreign currencies, then press “Continue” on the Shopping Cart page
  • Select either “Pick Up” or “Delivery”
  • Fill out all fields in the Customer Information Field and press “continue”
  • Choose your payment method and press submit order
  • Complete the payment/checkout process
  • You will receive confirmation of your order via email
What if a field does not apply to me during checkout?
Simply enter the field with “Not Applicable”, “NA”, “Unemployed”, “Retired” or a similar description that fits appropriately.
Are there discounts available when ordering currency online?
Yes. You will receive a discounted rate when you add over $1000 Canadian worth of any foreign currency into your shopping cart.
Is there a minimum foreign currency banknote purchase amount?
There is a $100 Canadian minimum for all orders placed online. For purchases below these limits, please visit your local Continental branch where our knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you.
Is there a maximum foreign currency banknote purchase amount?
There is a $2500 Canadian maximum for all orders placed online. For purchases above these limits, please visit your local Continental branch where our knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you.
What if want to buy or sell currency outside of FXtoGO’s limits?
If you require a larger or smaller amount, please visit your local Continental branch where our knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you. You can find a list of our branches HERE.
What if I don’t see the currency I need on the dropdown menu?
If the currency you need isn’t listed online you will need to order directly from a Continental Currency Exchange branch, where we carry over 160 currencies on hand, ready to be bought and sold immediately.
Can I add any special requests for my order?
Yes. Using the special request box below your shopping cart, please add any specific requirements or requests for your order such as “requested denominations required”, “extra conversion chart”, etc. For any specialty orders or advanced requests, please contact our friendly and knowledgeable staff at your local branch.
Can I sell currency on FXtoGO?
Unfortunately FXtoGO is a portal meant exclusively for purchasing currency. If you wish to sell us your currency, you may visit any one of our 17 branches across Ontario where our knowledgeable staff will be happy to help.
What will I be charged for orders placed using FXtoGO?
There are no service fees or additional charges added for any FXtoGO transaction, however clients have an option to select FREE pick up or low cost express shipping. The total order cost will be transparently displayed prior to finalising your purchase on the checkout screen.
What methods of payment are accepted?
For all online transactions we accept Interac® online, email money transfer and bill payment. In branch we accept cash, debit, bank draft, and more. For more information please contact us at 1.844.30.FX2GO.
Can I pay using my credit card?
When you register Continental as a payee for Bill Pay, you may complete the transaction using credit card.
Unfortunately at this time we do not directly accept any credit cards or prepaid credit cards, including but not limited to VISA, MasterCard, or American Express. In order to ensure our guaranteed best exchange rates, we do not want to add the additional fee of 2.95% charged by most major credit card providers.
Can I change my order after it has been confirmed?
No, all sales are final and cannot be changed after payment confirmation.
Will my exchange rate change before I complete my payment?
The exchange rates shown on your checkout screen will be honoured for all purchases completed within 30 minutes after checkout. If you would like to lock in an exchange rate, we offer the unique ability to pre-order your currency. For more information on how to pre-order your currency click HERE.
I only need $X.XX worth, why did the value automatically change?
Based on denominations available and the current exchange rate, your requested amount will be automatically rounded to the nearest available value.
Can I purchase multiple foreign currencies in one order?
Yes. As long as the total value of your order remains within the minimum and maximum order requirements, you can purchase as many different currencies as you need. Your total checkout price will be the cumulative cost of the combined currencies.
Where do I enter my promotional code?
You will have an option to enter your promotional code on the final checkout screen when selecting your payment option. You will also have the opportunity to enter the referral email address if applicable.
Can I pay using a bank account that has a different home address on file?
Yes, as long as the name matches and you properly reference your order, there will be no issues. We will deliver to the address you provide, or to the branch location of your convenience.
Why did I get logged out after 20 minutes?
In order to give you the best price possible, we are constantly updating our exchange rates. If you become inactive on our site for more than 20 minutes, you page will need to be reloaded in order to refresh the exchange rates.

Shipping and Delivery


What are my options to receive my currency?
You may choose to either have your currency delivered to your home address for a small fee, or opt for free in branch pickup.

What if I am unable to pick up my order?
If you order your currency for in branch pick up and you are unable to make the pick up date, simply contact the branch directly and they will gladly ensure your order is ready at a day and time that is convenient for you.
Can my order be picked up by someone other than myself?
No. Pick up by family or friends is only available if they complete the transaction themself. You are welcome to call and pre-order your currency ahead of time from your Continental branch of choice to ensure it is ready when they get there. If you order your currency to your residential address then any authorized adult will be able to sign for the package.
Will my order be insured while in transit?
Yes. All FXtoGO orders are insured while in transit.
What happens if my order is lost or destroyed in transit?
If your order is lost or destroyed in transit then it will fall under our insurance guarantee and be replaced or refunded at no additional cost to you.
What if I didn’t get the exact denominations requested?
While we make our best effort to provide you with the currency you require, all denominations are a request and cannot be guaranteed. Please contact your nearest branch for more specific requests.
How will my currency be packaged?
Your order will be processed and packaged in a safe, secure and discreet manner to minimise cost, protect your personal information and ensure that your order arrives safe and on time.
How is the currency that I have ordered transported?
Your order will be transported safely and securely by our shipping partner Canada Post. While in transit your order will be completely insured.
How long will my order take to be delivered?
After your payment is processed, your order will arrive within 1 to 5 business days, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9am to 8pm.
What happens if I am not home when my order is delivered?
Your order will be delivered to your door and any adult in the residential address you provide will be able to sign for your order. If no one is home at the time of delivery then Canada Post will will leave a notice and hold your order for 15 days. Within that 15 day period you must pick up your order at your designated Canada Post location.
Are there any shipping address restrictions?
All orders must be shipped to a residential address within Canada. FXtoGO orders cannot be shipped to PO boxes, internationally, Quebec, or to some remote locations within Canada.
How do I check the delivery status of my order?
Once you’ve placed your order you will receive a shipping confirmation from Canada Post that will provide you with a tracking number. Enter this number on Purolators website to track the status of your order.
What if my order is not delivered within 5-7 days?
If your order is not delivered within 5-7 days after your payment has been processed, and your shipping tracking number has not been updated, please contact us directly at 1.844.30.FX2GO. We will work quickly to resolve any issues involved in your order. If your order was lost or damaged in transit it will be replaced or refunded at no additional cost to you.
Will my package be sent with express shipping?
Yes. All orders will be delivered via Canada Post Express Shipping and will be received within 1 to 5 business days after your payment has been processed. For your same-day currency needs please visit one of our many branches across Ontario.

How does Continental protect my personal information and payment details?
Continental Currency Exchange has gone to great lengths to ensure you and your information remain safe, secure and protected at all times.

Beanstream is an industry leader in network and data security with an impeccable track record and meets or exceeds Canadian audit controls for financial service providers: SSAE 16 SOC 1 Type 2, CSAE 3416 and ISAE 343402.

Can I view exchange rates in real time before I buy my currency?
Absolutely. With Continental’s FREE Rate Watch and Currency Converter you can compare all 160+ currencies with up to the minute live exchange rates, and up to 5 years in the past so that you can make the best, most informed decision possible prior to purchasing your currency.
How do Continental’s rates compare to competitors?
In branch we provide you with the best exchange rates guaranteed. If you can find a better rate in any of our local markets that we can verify, we’ll beat it. For all online purchases, we guarantee great exchange rates equal or better than all of our retail branch rates.
Will FXtoGO work on my browser/operating system?
FXtoGO is supported by most browsers and operating systems including: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Mac OS X 10.6+, IE8, IE9, Firefox 15+, Chrome 21+, Safari 5+.
